This is a beautiful Dream Tree by J. E. Tramel, made in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the 1960s.
The trunk is made of intertwined metal wire, possibly cooper or brass, and the leaves are bright gold on both sides and appear to be made of gold foil.
The leaves shimmer at the slightest breeze which makes this piece so mesmerizing. It is approximately 10 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the very top of the tree and approximately 10 inches across at its widest part. The reflections from the sun or any significant lighting against the shiny gold leaves add excitement to any room.
