Larimar is a rare blue variety of the silicate mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean.
Larimar's soft, soothing blues that are streaked with white patterns resemble sunlight dancing beneath Caribbean waters. This stone represents peace and clarity, and is said to enlighten and heal on many levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It facilitates inner wisdom and outer manifestation.
On a physical level, it is said to soothe infections in the chest, throat and head as well. You may wish to place a piece of Larimar stone on the sore spot to provide comfort.
